Yeah, that went just about how I expected it to go. Because Kara and the fists are a bit like Tigh and the booze, why ever would she not lean on them when stressed. Interestingly, I do think Kara is direct enough to literally fight tooth and nail through this and come out the other side still fighting. It's one of the differences that Felix will hide (most often in plain sight) and she's incapable of hiding at all. Nice addition to SG/BSG 'verse.

I geniunely think, faced with a similar situation to Gaeta's, tht Kara ultimately would respond better to a rescue better thn Felix. Had she been kept longer by Iblis, she'd be dead because she ultimately woud have thrown herself against the bars until she was dead. She wouldn't have lasted the ten years that Felix did.... but ultimately I think she will bounce back better. There is a reason we are pointing out in earlier sections that Felix isn't cleared for missions and had some serious issues adapting. Felix still feels guilty about learning krav maga while Kara will LOVE learning all the new tricks

You know, I find it interesting that Kara even would suspect that Helo is lying to her about Earth. To me, that's a sign of how far gone Kara is here, poor thing. Although I do get the idea she has that maybe Helo isn't lying, it's just that he's been lied to himself. And I liked how she was just how she was in the Farm - cooperating on the surface, but merely biding her time and looking for a way out. Also, her logic that Jack and the others wouldn't be able to resist using her as a weapon makes a lot of sense from her limited perspective.

I also found interesting the parallel between Kara and Felix: Neither of them are doing a whole lot of trusting in this chapter. Her reaction to her rescue by the SG1 folks and his reaction to being forced to meet Kara are startlingly similar. ;) From the little I've seen of Jack on screen, I find it pretty believable that he would understand Felix's perspective more than Helo, who ultimately just wants everyone to get along and that gives him blind spots sometimes.

Kara is just really really paranoid right now. And yes, she kinda sees Helo as on her side but kinda dumb and unlikely to see past how nicely he's being treated. He is, after all, the dumbass who fell in love with the enemy. He can't be used to execute Goa'ld so why wouldn't the Earthers treat him ok? But she can kill Goa'uld so of course the Earthers are going to use her as an execution tool ( ... )
