I don't think it will as big of a deal in this multiverse... Tigh's already had the thought that Tyrol being a Cylon, while ironic, is really not the automatic airlocking it used to be.
The political machinations behind the scenes really interest me. Roslin and Zarek both seem to be pushing Tigh for reassurances he's already given. The development of the Final Five being outed (or at least in part) should rock some boats. While it doesn't mean they'll be airlocked, part (a big part) of the reason Adama put Tigh in charge of the basestar was to have a non-Cylon in charge of the colony's defenses. I'm curious to see how his being outed impacts the behind the scenes political machinations.
I feel for Tyrol. He just sank into his depression and I guess he never made it back out. It's very nice to compare him against Tigh who did make it out (sort of). It's a good point that Tigh remains an alcoholic and how Bill's support & the synthenol helped.
Yes, Tigh is in command of the home fleet, so to speak, because he's human and known to take a hard line on the "Cylon question". And I think Tigh is geniunely unhappy that he's been given a job he never wanted, and geniunely fearful that if shit goes bad, he will be stuck in the Bill Adama roll when the fleet runs. And there lies his problem... he really cant come out of the closet, so to speak, until things calm down and Bill returns.
Because Roslin would *flip*. She wouldn't mean to, and she would regret it later, because she can understand intellectually that Tigh et al aren't dangerous, but she would flip hard.
Tyrol just never got past the war. Cally couldn't hold him up and left him to protect Nicholas, and Tyrol strikes me as a brooder who would never accept help. I think Tigh still drinks... but I think he has a better control of it and may less "alcoholic" and more "problem drinker" at this point.
Yeah, I see Tigh, if not actually seeking therepy or help, is at least surrounded and helped by people who care about him. He still drinks real booze occassionally bit he's moved mostly to synehol. He's... better. Not well, but not say, Chief Tyrol, either. ANd thanks :D

A good addition that makes me long for more.

The writing mojo seems to be returning a little.
