Fic - "The Golden Ship part 14"

Ok, this is part 14 of "The Golden Ship", the crossover of BSG and Jeremiah that I periodically work on. So when we last left the gang, between Felix and Kara, all of the missing scouts are now safely on staff at Thunder Mountain in one way or another. So the fleet has taken off, the Cylons *maybe* are gone, Kara and Racetrack are still secret

Interesting! I'm curious how you're gonna resolve the thing where they all have doppelgangers. I hadn't thought at the beginning that you would address that.

(you might want to change the first paragraph in such a way that makes it clear that "he" is Felix, because searching for the POV character confused me a lot)

Well, the dopplegangers and the story of the golden ship are not just the clues that the casting pool in vancouver is small and the writing pool is also small. (The story of the golden ship on Jeremiah is similar enough to the Athena throwing herself from the cliff so the people could escape Kobol in the golden ship that honestly, I wondered

oh, interesting. I like the idea of the Final Four being significant because they're changing things. I'm now very eager to see this play out.

My working theory is that in each loop, there's a way out and some people who have more of a chance to escape the loop. So in the canon loop, those special people were the final four, or five. There's not a set number in any particular loop but there's never ALOT

The conversation between Galen and Felix was exactly as awkward and painful as it needed to be. It always bugged me that there were no repercussions from the other 12 dead. Really, there should have been. Galen operating from guilt makes sense to me and it explains why he's down there.

The doppelgangers are driving me nuts, I love that there's a plot moving undercover to come out and bite us. But it means you need to write faster.

Galen is very hard to write because regardless of the Cylon nonsense, he's kind of a dumbass who does dumb violent things and never seems to get why that pisses people off. And if there's ever a point that Tyrol is consistent on, its that he always manages to screw things up.

Well, I am working on the star rek, I promise! I'm just STALLED there.

The show crossed is Jeremiah. It ran on Showtime and there were two seasons and since it was filmed in vancouver, there are a lot of familar faces. Its also a fun show in its own right.

I liked the conversation between Galen and Felix. I also like the neat trick of making a meta joke about casting into a relevant plot point. I'm eager to see where that goes.

I've pretty carefully watched the eps myself and while Jeremiah's mom is Dr. Fraser from Stargate, I will skip that :)
