too busy for my own good.

I have had too much free time on my hands. The problem with that is, I don't make pretty pictures/clothes, scrub appliances, or watch too much TV, or play too much Wii. I spend it on Lynda.com and my.safaribooksonline.com all the time.

pretend you've seen an ad posting. Send a note like that. Hi, I'm Rapha, and my understanding is you need X, Y, Z and are offering $foo for the work. "Hi, Marc" doesn't work as well, especially from an unfamiliar address. This is an extremely busy person - the dance business isn't even his second job let alone his first, so having everything right there instead of needing to read down the email trail is a good thing.
