another iPhone goober

Since my iPhone issue was resolved so well last time, here's another:

iPhone comes pre-packaged with Safari (the web browser). When I try to load ANYTHING with it, it doesn't. It just doesn't load. White screen, little red/white "X" at the top, and it plays me like it is loading content, but never does ( Read more... )

Does it do it no matter what network you are attached to? (Well, not do it, I suppose I should say.)

You can go into the settings application and make it forget the network it is attached to. Then reconnect to the network and see what happens.

I wonder what why the network connection would matter. How it would be picky over some types of internet connections and not others.

Any any event, rebooting the thing actually worked. Turns out the APPs weren't updating either, so I had 11 of those to get through also.

It could be picky if some of the DNS entries on one network got weird. Switching networks would probably clear out the DNS cache on the iPhone and allow you to connect. Restarting it would likely clear out the same cache files. Glad it's working again, regardless.
