Yeah, the Lupin Tonks pairing might not have been as predictable as ron and hermione, but not everything in life is fully explainable or predictable. I liked that about them. I just didn't like the confrontation where lupin tried to help.
The epilogue? Didn't seem tacked on so much as it was rushed. I think the main problem was just a matter of way too many new names introduced way too fast while trying to cover what happened to some of our most favorite characters.
But, I guess my views are probably just different from most people.
I tried to warn you! XD Myra says if you pretend there's no epilogue, it's a decent book! So when i get to the end (pg533 currently) I'm just not going to read it again. That way I'll have a fond memory of book 7.
"NINETEEN YEARS LATER, everyone is living is heterosexual suburban paradise with fifteen kids named after dead people..."
She never really stopped the Slytherin bashing either. Why didn't any of the Slytherins help out? Honestly... Draco and his stupid little friends, that is like, ten people at most. @_@ Ambition would tell you that helping kill "the most evil wizard of all time" is a GOOD thing, and cunning would make you do it in such a way that you wouldn't get hurt. Come onnnn Rowling! @_@
At least there is still Shoebox!! D: We still have Shoebox!
I quite agree with you in that there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between Tonks and Lupin. I mean... Lupin appears to have no reason at all for being with Tonks.
I would have been so much happier if Harry had stayed dead, and if the entire thing hadn't been so predictable.
I mean.. we all knew she had to kill off one of the twins.
I was really, really hoping she wasn't going to kill one of them. I loved them. I should have known when George lost his ear, though. Fred is the one who died, because she couldn't kill the one who was already "damaged." :p
Reason for Lupin being with Tonks: She can make herself look like Sirius. The S/R shippers have already thought of the greatest ways their son was conceived. XD but I'll leave that out of my journal. I was glad he wanted to leave. It was the first IC thing he'd done the entire book.

I kind of expected it to suck, but I was hoping I'd get to say "it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
Best thing in the book: Harry is a horcrux.
Ruins the best thing in the book: HE DIDN'T STAY DEAD.
