Name: Kyo

Character's Name: Guy Cecil AKA Gailardia Galan Gardios
Character's Age: 21
Character's Class: Swordsman
3 Events That Affected the Character:
1) Downfall of the Gardios House
Born to a noble house of Malkuth based on the Isle of Hod, Gailardia Galan Gardios was the family's sole male heir, with a lifestyle to match. What should have been a joyous occasion, the celebration of his 5th birthday, was abruptly interrupted by the start of the Hod War with a full-scale attack on the Gardios estate. Kimlascan forces, commanded by Duke Fabre, raided the property and murdered most of the family and servants in there. On a desperate effort to protect the heir of the house, Gailardia's older sister Marybelle and several maids shielded him at the cost of their lives. Their effort was not in vain, but the young Gailardia was buried for several days under a pile of women's corpses, an event so traumatic that he locked it away from his conscious memory, a severe case of gynophobia the only outward reminder of his plight.
2) Desire for Revenge
In the wake of the tragedy that befell his family, Gailardia plotted revenge against Duke Fabre, going so far as to infiltrate his household as a servant under the name Guy Cecil and ally himself with a fellow survivor and former attendant of his family, who now went by the name Van Grants. In infiltrating the Fabre estate, Guy's true intent was to murder Duke Fabre's son, as to make his enemy experience the same grief he himself was subjected to. The emotional power of this event was later exploited by means of a curse slot.
3) Friendship with Luke fon Fabre
Guy's original revenge plans started to derail when his target, Luke fon Fabre, was kidnapped and subsequently found in an old mansion belonging to the Fabre family with even his most basic memories gone. While before the kidnapping Guy and Luke might have been considered friends by an outsider, after the incident Guy became a lifeline for the now confined Luke, helping him catch up with everything he had to learn and remaining the only age peer he was comfortable with after the ensuing awkwardness between him and Natalia. Guy, for his part, took a liking to the amnesiac boy, growing to feel responsible for his development as a person and to see him as a real friend.
Pulled From: The inn in Grand Chokmah, right after Ion removed the curse slot.
Personality: Guy is overall nice, with a level head, a good sense of responsibility and a genuine interest in helping out. He can be extremely loyal to his friends. For their sake, he has been known to reformulate plans of great personal importance and overcome his crippling phobia of women for a few seconds. People notice his loyalty, and this makes Guy's calling out on his friends' foolish acts, something he does not hold back on, particularly with those he has known longest, all the more effective. He might complain occasionally, but does not shy away from work, be it physical or mental, and is fairly adept at explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand manner, a skill possibly honed during his years with Luke. Guy also takes extensive interest in fon machines, and might briefly alienate others when his inner geek surfaces.
Future Plans: Once the initial disorientation clears up, the information actually makes it to his ears, and he is convinced that returning to his own world will not be so trivial, Guy will pursue joining the Ouin branch of Ad Libitum, as it would allow him to put his skills to good use while remaining close to the latest in a field that interests him.
Roleplay Sample: Is... Is this Theor forest? Did I dream up that about waking up in Grand Chokmah to Anise's colorful account of the encounter with two of the God Generals and Ion's words of reassurance that the curse slot was gone? I hope everyone is all right... It's hard to believe they would have considered me enough of a liability to leave me behind like this, but if the decision had been up to the enemy, on the other hand...
It was when I looked around in search of clues that I noticed the tree I was leaning against. Surely Theor forest had nothing like it. The only place where I had seen a tree of similar size was St. Binah, but obviously the place was an urban area short of being St. Binah. Searching my mental record of all the places I have seen did not help, and somewhere in the back of my mind I entertained the possibility of foul play, but without any real idea of how it could have been pulled off, or for what purpose.
Where is this, anyway? I can't go about locating my comrades if I don't even know where I am.
