OMG. That's infuriating.

Not to mention stupid and misinformed. Killing off the good bacteria in the vagina upsets the balance down there, and the result is neither "dainty" nor "fresh." I recoil in horror at the obscenity of some woman spraying her female regions with Lysol. Even douching with non-Lysol products isn't that good of an idea. I think it's funny the ad includes an address to write for official gynecological information. My gyno has always said not to use douche when having issues down there for the above reasons, and to avoid it in general, 'cause it can cause problems that don't already exist. And yet women persist in doing it 'cause they've swallowed the hype that their natural smells aren't sexy, but are disgusting and shameful.

Have you ever read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins? It features a great and hilarious critique of "feminine hygiene products."

Mmmmmmmmmhmmm, it feels like most of the time i spent on TMI Chix was informing ignorant little teenyboppers how to take care of their bodies properly, which their schools and parents sure dont seem to.

No i havent read it, but ive sure heard of it. perhaps i shall. :)

Well the big thing is that the perfumes and chemicals and shit mess up your internal balance and can cause yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis like THAT.
