Daze of the Weak

I was lying in bed earlier, trying to take a nap, when my mind began revolving around the question of which day of the week is the most famous. It nearly scuttled my nap. I probably managed to fall asleep for about 45 minutes tops. The only really solid conclusion that I came to was that it is definitely NOT Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday ( Read more... )

I enjoyed reading this. I didn't work for a year and I still felt the same about the week/weekend. Even though I wouldn't do anything on Friday I would still get this feeling like "Oh boy today is Friday ( ... )

I have heard that about Saturday being the true Sabbath but didn't bring it up because I was mostly just thinking in terms of day "fame" and most people are probably unaware that they are resting on the wrong day. I guess that is another reason why Saturday is so amazing. It is supposed to be the shitty Christian day but it somehow got out of it. What a great con! Sunday is such a dupe.

Luckily I'm reading this on a Friday, so I'm feeling chipper, but this is a great essay that I would have never thought to write. This format could really apply to many of the things we take for granted, ie, colors, sounds, trees, clothing articles, the possibilities are truly endless and if well thought out, interesting.

I agree with Raptroll (and Garfield) Mondays are no friend of mine.

TGIF lord... TGIF.

i look forward to mondays much more than i look forward to fridays. the only real reason for this is that my work week is thursday, friday, saturday, sunday. i know what you're thinking- you have been royally screwed! but, opposed to so many on this planet, i have a fairly amazing job. the only downside to having this job is working all the best days (sunday excluded), so i end up having to work all day and then try to hang out or whatever with my friends who have the weekends off. so weekends are always just exhausting..never enough sleep because i am out somewhere until 9-12:30 maybe later and then working on something at home until 4 in the morning only to get up at 9 and do it all again until monday ( ... )

that is a very strong pro-Monday argument. Although you are preaching to the choir: I put Monday as the most famous day!
