Off to Boise
Woke myself up at 4:25am. Turns out my bladder alarm was more reliable than the clock. Enjoyed the warmth for a few before getting started. Had a number of DVDs ripped to the computer so made sure the encoder had lots to do while I was out of town. Moved over 110gb of movies onto an external hard drive over night.
Sorta toed the line on time by getting to the light rail around 5:50am. I hadn't been up this early in a long time so I was surprised at how bright it was. There was also quite a bit of activity. Got to the terminal in plenty of time. Cute nerd guy caught my attention in line which I think was reciprocated. Noticed he had a gamer laptop which made me smile. My temporary ID ended up requiring no explanation which was nice.
First Class was boarding as soon as I got to the gate. I saw cute nerd guy hanging out so I figured I could get some flirting in. Opened up with, “Isn't that an Alienware laptop?” and went from there. He'd actually won it at a BlizzCon by dressing up as Tyrael. He had pictures of the costume on his iPhone-which were astonishing. Turns out he plays a Resto Shaman on Thrall so I learned his toon's name before his real one. *rolls eyes* Arrived at my seat first so wished him a good flight and that I'd catch him online.
For a while it looked like I was the row to myself until a black lady settled in on the aisle. She called her daughter to find out what she was wearing to school and to give her Grandma's cell number. Took her shoes off for a while yet it was pretty cold in the cabin, so they went back on once she secured a blanket. The safety video said GoGo WiFi would be available once we broke ten thousand feet yet the flight attendant said the plane hadn't been refitted yet. *sigh*
Would kind of like to get some napping in but my seat won't recline plus it hits my neck wrong. Oh well. Might be able to catch a nap this afternoon after settling in. Early flights like this are annoying… will try to avoid them in the future.
