I'm sure that being there, in the moment, it was all magical and amazing. But seeing this pop up on CNN felt somewhere inbetween creepy and invasive.

Yeah, that's another valid point.

But what really struck me was how exploitative this is. Blasting something intimate across cyberspace is tacky.

Yes, yes indeed it is. But look at what tacky can get you... $100,000 per episode with your own TV and merchandising deals. :P
