Today is the one hundred and first day I've gone without a cigarette, and I've realized I no longer have anything soothing to do with my hands. When you smoke, your hands are almost always occupied. I need a hobby. I think I'm gonna take up pottery.

I found a link to Kevin Smith's myspace blog on After Ophelia. He's posted a nine-part series about ( Read more... )

I spent the majority of my work day reading that. If I get fired I'm blaming you.

if you get fired you should staple the whole story to your boss' forehead.

Congrats on no more smoking, if you can get past the first 100 days, you'll be able to keep it up. And since you have, you will!

The whole Kevin Smith story on Mewes is crazy. Based on his movies, we know Smith is longwinded and he sure didn't disappoint here, but wow, how fucked up.

The best part is reading all the locations in NJ, where I'm like "Know where that is, know where that is, oh, his drug addict mom lives in Keansburg, what a shock!" Never really watched those movies, but glad he's off it. And if that jackoff can kick heroin, you can stop with the smokes!

damnit, I just got the email to this comment. Thanks for the congrats/well wishes!

Yeah, I think Smith was gonna make this a two part story originally? and it kept getting stretched out... but it was sad and inspiring and all that. But I can understand now why the guy inspires such fierce loyalty. He's a multimillionaire filmmaker, but you can still go over to his house and grab a beer out of his fridge. And sit down and watch Star Wars XII: Bobby's In The Shower on his 250" rear-projection laserjet flatscreen TV. He's still the same schmoey guy, but he's got really nice toys.

And I am all over Clerks II, no matter how much it sucks. (Not that I think it will.)
