For Mimic the cartoon started in 1983 or 1984ish (AO3 goes with 1984). It started as two specials and then a show. Mimic was in the show in the second season which aired in 1987. It is the same canon, they just add the year it started on AO3 to differentiate that canon from the other My Little Pony canons. It is like how there is Doctor Who (2005) as a fandom tag but not every Doctor Who character appeared in 2005.
Babylon 5 Tessa Holloran: she is the Mars Resistance leader during the Earth Alliance Civil War. She's referred to as Number One in that organization. She is in eight or nine episodes, I think.
Agents of SHIELD: Trip's mom has been mentioned; the line is something along the lines of "Sorry I'm late, mom's really protective of grandad's Howling Commando gear." It's just the one line though, so I don't know if it counts as "substantially."
MCU: 'Kristen from Statistics' was definitely someone Natasha mentioned to Steve in The Winter Soldier; I'm pretty sure 'Lillian with the lip piercing' was also a part of one of those conversations. They're both women Natasha's trying to set Steve up with; they don't appear in anything but that conversation where they're mentioned.
Thank you for your answer. In that case we unfortunately can't accept them. But it is perfectly fine to mention them in your optional details, as the other community members have suggested. :)
Oh, they weren't my nominations! I just knew who the nominator was talking about.
Regarding "Marvel Cinematic Universe" & AOS characters -- Agents of SHIELD, despite being a TV show, is definitely a part of it; 'MCU' is the blanket term for everything taking place in the Marvel universe designated Earth-199999, which at the moment is: Iron Man 1-3, The Incredible Hulk, Thor 1-2, Captain America 1-2, and Agents of SHIELD. As soon as they're released, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Agent Carter television show, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man will also be a part of it. (I'm a little unclear about the shows they've announced will be airing on Netflix, but I think they're a part of that universe too
( ... )
Hilda Bianca (or Blanca; the spelling seems to differ) is an extra for the most part - she has one scene in the second Hobbit movie, so her appearance is far from substantial, but it does leave a lot of room to write in terms of motivations and backstory especially.
She's defnitely going to get in, we're just wondering under what name that should be. :) In the LotR wiki, her page title is called Hilda Bianca, but in the text she's spelled Blanca. Very conusing.
I couldn't find anything on her in any official place, but she is listed as Hilda Blanca on the IMDB profile of her actress (here), so I'd tentatively identify that one as correct?
