I have no problem touching my eye so I was all set when I first decided to get lenses. However I find that to insert the lenses I need to be looking in a mirror. I don't need a mirror in order to remove them - just insert them.

I know a few people who don't need a mirror at all but I just can't do it without it.

I wish you better luck next time.

What brand where they? Not all brands are the same. For example for a first time user and with a reaction like that i would seriously suggest ACUVUE Oasys

On top of that all contact liquids are also not the same. For this may I suggest Aquify

As a new contacts wearer, you might want to keep your eyes better lubricated. Get some of that ReNu stuff, ad apply liberally throughout the day.

I would almost guarantee that the dryness is why you have trouble getting them out. Wet your eyes with the drops before attempting to remove the lenses...let the stuff soak in and get in and around the lens and your eyeball. The lenses will come out with much, much less fuss.
