“Are you sure you want to bet against me in this game of chess?” Minerva asked, arching a brow at Severus as she looked at the board in front of them. The two of them were halfway through their game of chess when Severus suddenly announced that he wanted to bet on the game.
“I’m quite sure, Minerva,” he murmured, his dark eyes on the pieces. “I wouldn’t have brought it up if I didn’t think I would win.”
“So confident,” she said, tsking as she shook her head. “Very well then, what are your terms?”
“When I win-”
“If you win,” she interrupted, correcting him with a wicked grin in her eyes.
“When I win,” he repeated, narrowing his eyes, “I take control for the rest of the evening.”
Minerva shifted in her chair. Usually, she took on the more dominant role in their relationship, but at times, Severus liked to switch things up. Apparently, tonight was one of those nights. “And what if I win?”
“You won’t,” Severus said, looking at the board as he once again calculated his game plan.
“What do I get if I win?”
“You get an orgasm either way,” Severus pointed out flatly.
She laughed. “Come on, Severus, let me think of what I want.”
“You aren’t going to win,” Severus insisted. “I’ve accounted for every move on the board.”
“If I win, you have to give me a foot rub every night for the next week.”
“Deal,” he murmured, so sure of his win that he didn’t give it a second thought. “Prepare to lose.”
“We’ll see about that.”
A few moments later, Severus was eating his words… and massaging Minerva’s feet.
