Speaking of changing phone service, is anyone particularly happy with their pay-per-minute provider ( Read more... )

I don't know. However, we have AT&T for phone because our DSL company will only work with them and Verizon, and Verizon seems to be unable to answer our questions. We looked into Verizon this past week because AT&T are BASTARDS. We try to pay our phone bill on time (as we also have unlimited long distance here, with friends/family being mostly out of state) but AT&T seems to have a different concept of "on time" than we do and things... have... happened, with them. They've done similar to other people we know, but it's kind of like if we switch to another carrier we lose DSL and not only do we never watch cable but the prices around here for it do not justify just getting the cable modem for Internet. *siiiiighhhh*

So I have no clues about pay-per-minute providers but if you can at all avoid AT&T... please, try. They suck big donkey dildos.

for the record many of the cable companies do have internet-only prices that are less expensive, but not only will they not tell you about them they will lie through their teeth about it, say it's impossible, etc. We perservered and get our internet for cheaper than DSL+landline prices (though only just) with no cable tv. But man they are lying sacks of protoplasm.

Will keep that in mind about AT&T (I typoed that AT$T, but perhaps that's appropriate too)

LAWL @ AT$T. I have to tell that to my partner.

Yeah out here Cox is the Internet-cable provider and they also have weeeeiiiird loopholes in their contracts that my partner being well-researched-in-legality-for-a-layperson is like, "WTF, no" when he read it.

Our Internet through DSL is actually pretty cheap. But I HATE AT&T. A pox on them!

I asked what my Shakespearean Insult Generator thought of AT&T and it replied:

[Thou] blunt monster with uncounted heads!

Taken from: Henry IV, part 2

Lawlz.
