Summary: I'm not even gonna try to write a summary anymore, since I'm bad at it.
*alarm clock ringing*
The clock shows that the time was 7.30 am.
“NO WAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!” Nakajima Yuto, a 16 years old boy, jumped out from his bed and ran to the bathroom to get ready for school.
That day was the first day of high school, and he was being late already. The first class will start at 8 am, so he got 30 minutes to go to school.
“Mamaaa!!! How come you didn’t wake me up?! Today is the first day of school, and I’m late already” He said to his mom as soon as he got to the kitchen.
“I tried to wake you up many times, but you were ignoring me. It’s not my fault you watched TV until late last night.” Yuto’s mom replied.
“Ahhh!! Fine fine!! I’m leaving now!!” Yuto rushed to the front door and left.

The train was packed with people, Yuto wasn’t even able to move freely. Then, Yuto saw a girl with a long silky black hair few feet away from him, her figure was pretty tall. She looks different from normal high school girls. She didn’t wear any girly hair band, or wear any accessory like those typical high school girls would wear. She was wearing a headphone and her head was moving along the music that she was listening to.
When Yuto was about to look away from her, he saw a perverted man trying to touch her legs in the middle of the packed train.
Without thinking, Yuto made his way through the crowd and squeezed in between the perverted man and the girl.
“Excuse me… sorry” Yuto said while trying to cover the girl from the man by standing behind her.
The girl looked at him, but it seemed like she didn’t notice what happened, she was busy listening to her ipod. The perverted man turned around and gave an irritated look to Yuto.
Yuto didn’t even know why he did that, he just felt that he should do it. He was standing so close behind her that he could even smell the apple flavor shampoo from her hair. He could see that the girl was very pretty even without make ups that those high school girls would use nowadays.
Both of them got off at the same train station. Yuto then noticed that she was wearing school uniform that has the same logo as his.
They were walking side by side, but the girl was still busy listening to her ipod.
“Are you going to Horikoshi too?”
“Why did I ask such a stupid question? Of course she is, she’s wearing the uniform” Think Yuto.
“Sorry? What did you say?” the girl replied while removing the headphone from her ears.
“Ah, I was just wondering if you’re a freshman too…”
“Yes I am, are you a freshman too?” the girl asked back.
“Yes… “ Yuto answered and the girl gave him a small nod.
“Ah! I think we have to hurry now, since we only have 7 minutes left and we still need to look at our class placement” Yuto replied while looking at his watch.

They both were looking at the big announcement board in the school lobby. Yuto found that he got into 1-B class.
“1-B…” the girl was mumbling next to Yuto.
“Ah you’re in 1-B too? Then we’re in the same class” Yuto said instantly.
“Really?” the girl smiled at Yuto.
“I’m glad… at least I already know somebody to talk to on the first day. I don’t know anybody here, none of my friends from middle school are going to this school.” She said again.
“Same here, none of my friends are going to the same high school as me.” Yuto replied.
“Ah! I’m Yuto btw. Nakajima Yuto” he introduced himself.
“I’m Nishiuchi Mariya, you can call me Mariya” she smiled again.
“Let’s go now, we only have 2 minutes to find the class” Yuto said while walking with her to the class room.

The first class was history class. Yuto thought that the class was the worst class to start his high school life. He looked at his watch and saw that he had another hour to go. He felt so sleepy listening to the teacher whose hair looks like she put on the whole bottle of hairspray to style it up.
“Psssttt….” Mariya hissed from the seat next to him and she passed a small note to his desk.
I wonder why she tied her hair up like that.
And her head reminds me of the shape of onigiri xD
I’m hungry now… xP
Yuto giggled in a low voice, but apparently the teacher noticed of what happened in the back of the class where Yuto and Mariya were sitting.
“Nakajima! Nishiuchi! Both of you, see me after class” The teacher said to them.

“I do not tolerate any disruption in my class, no chit chatting allowed when my class is in session” The teacher said to them.
They were in teacher’s office being scolded for what they did in the classroom.
“I’m going to put both of you on detention, so you guys can reflect on what you did.”
“I’m being lenient today, since this is your first day. But you both have to make sure that you won’t do it ever again, because I’m not going to be so lenient next time” The teacher said and ended the conversation.

“IS THIS WHAT SHE CALLED LENIENT?!!!” Mariya said angrily while wiping basketballs in the basketball club room.
Their detention was cleaning the basketball club room, since the basketball club managers were busy preparing for the open house.
“What can we do now? We better finish this soon. It’s already 4.30pm and we still have to mop the indoor basketball court’s floor.” Yuto said while cleaning the dust from the trophies that Horikoshi high school basketball team had won in the past years.
“I can’t believe I got a detention on my first day of high school.” Mariya sighed.
“This is my first detention ever…” Yuto replied.
“What?! You don’t look like you’re the good boy kinda type.” Mariya teased.
“Shut up!” Yuto laughed.

“Ah… finally, we finished!!”
Both of them were lying on the floor of the indoor basketball court. Horikoshi high school basketball court was not small at all. Mopping the floor by just the two of them was so tiring.
“I hope I can get into the basketball team…” Mariya said suddenly.
“Eh? You play basketball?” Yuto asked.
“Yeah, I’ve liked to play basketball since I was little” she said while grabbing a basketball from the floor and started to dribble it.
“But when I was in elementary school I didn’t get into the basketball team. I was so sad, but I kept practicing really hard and I finally got into my middle school team. I even won an MVP trophy in 9th grade!” She smiled proudly and ran towards the basket to shoot the ball.
The ball got into the basket nicely.
Yuto blushed, because he saw her upper legs accidentally while she was shooting the ball.
“What is wrong with this girl?! Playing basketball with a mini school skirt?!” Yuto said in his mind.
Even though Mariya was boyish and the clumsiest girl that he ever met. Yuto was glad that she was the first friend that he made in high school.
That time, he didn’t realize that friendship can be complicated at times.

Idk why I'm so in mood to write fics nowadays. lol. But, I might not update the next chapter until next thrusday. Since I'm gonna be busy this weekend. studying... T_T but I already have the complete plot so I can write it anytime xD
