"Please won't you be my neighbor?"

This happened 0.4 miles from our place yesterday morning. Aaron and Rudy were out for a walk and saw "a huge puff of smoke," and I felt our whole building rumble as I laid in bed. Craziness.

Thanks. It was funny because we were actually joking that "maybe a house exploded," and then we turned on the news to see that WE WERE RIGHT.

Holy crap! I was at school all day, but had I been at work I probably would have heard it/felt it.

At least your place is okay!

You definitely would've felt it. Aaron said it was like standing underneath fireworks in that you could feel the vibration in your chest. We drove past the place yesterday (it's on the other side of 279) and there are lots of blown out windows, etc. That's a pretty shady section of the neighborhood, though, so I'm curious how many windows were broken pre-blast.

It's the second house explosion in two months: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/s_555687.html!

Then I saw this.

You must live (or have lived) rather near me. I remember this happening; it's only about ¾ mile from my place on Spring Hill.

Pretty creepy.

Hello! I actually live over in Deutschtown, so yes, this was very close to you.
