Try to think of it less as advisement and more like people caring. I know I HATE IT when people are like, "No, what you're feeling is wrong. How you're acting is wrong. you're WRONG." That pisses me off. If I came across that way, I'm sorry and didn't mean to.

I was just worried about you. I was trying to express that I too have had some of the same feelings, and have a notion what you may be feeling. I'm not you, only you can know you, but some of things you had written and have expressed in the past have lined up with myself. (I was always great with those open-ended questions..."How did this story affect you.) I want you to be happy and think/feel good things. And I know you can't always feel that way, but to write such a downer, and then to have Josh worry me more...

It's not bullshit though. People do care for you and you are a good person. And you know that's the truth, because I hate lying and can't lie. :D
