It's the one where Gou Jian summons Fan Li in the middle of the night to talk warfare with his officials.

(For a series that's resolutely of this world this is a really weird cameo.)

Yeah, Fan Li starts out being such a uke, but well, as someone on the BBS put it, When faced with Uncle Ming even the most docile uke will turn into a rabid seme.

But you know, in these pre-Wu days Gou Jian looks pretty seme still. Not quite- something maybe just a little off- but, well, look at those stills up there. 'The uke is the one with the weaknesses' and as of ep 10 the only one Gou Jian has is, possibly, being more intelligent than most people. Fan Li is equally if not more intelligent; play him a little less pleased with himself and he could easily be King Gou Jian's uke.

In fact I could easily see a Prince Fu Chai in Yue story where that emotionally honest and straightforward innocent gets totally seduced and screwed by the cunning Prince Regent of Yue.

My sentiments exactly. I don't see him letting anyone screw him, certainly not Fan Li at this stage.

R.e. Fu Chai: during the attempted military coup what was the first thing Gou Jian said? "Go see if Fu Chai has escaped." 8D

Yeah seriously I wonder how much of the script any of them saw at any point. Didn't ANYONE remember that the whole point is MO BU YE DOESN'T SURVIVE TO SEE GOU JIAN KING.
