There was a lot of good and a lot of bad on that war field this year.

While a cup shot is indeed a legal shot it is considered cheap and dirty when people directly target it. Even more so than people who target arms directly. My advice to you is to be as honourable as 'ou' can be and forget about those who chose to fight that way. It's not worth the effort bothering about it.

It never fails to amaze me when I hear people tell others how dirty it is and then see them using it frequently themselves on the field.

Well if anyone knows about honour on the field, it certainly is you Mi'lord. If one of the pair wasn't an old friend of mine I'd have chalked it up to "shit happens". But since he is a friend, not only will I never hear the end of it but it will become a thing we can laugh about next year and the year after. I was quite upset at first, but after the fact it all seems so trivial. It's all fun and games after all.
