"I don't date people of other races though, but it's for a completely different reason than most people. I want my kids to look like me. I want them to hopefully have my blue eyes. If I was with someone of a different race, then my kids would look like them.... and people who didn't know me would wonder if they were adopted or something

Racist? No.
Shallow? Yes.
Controlling? Very much so. This is the first step to basically telling the child what sports to play or what books to read, making a miniature version of themselves instead of letting them become what they will.

I must agree. This comment isn't racist. It's not saying other races are bad, or are less, whoever this is is just saying they aren't attracted to people of other races. It's like not being attracted to people with red hair or blonde hair or whatever.

Shallow? yeah. Who cares what people look like? who cares if kids are adopted or not? its not like they're loved less or anything.

Yeah, I'm just echoing what Rick and otomeanoyo have already said.

It's a person's choice to choose who they want to have kids with. Heck, one of my asian friends doesn't want an asian girlfriend/wife, and I really wouldn't call that racist.

And whether or not you have a kid with someone of a different race, the mighty thing we call genetics will still make sure the kid will have traits of both parents.
