Why does the cat think thermocouples make good eating?

The bits I didn't forget to order from RS turned up today, and it would appear that the cat really likes chewing on armoured cable.

I think the SMT components had better go in a box, since I don't think I'd have time to notice him scoffing them.

I'm instrumenting the landrover. The current project is the turbocharger. I'm using thermocouples to monitor the air temperature at the intercooler inlet and the manifold, and measuring the pressure at the manifold. These are all getting connected to a PIC microcontroller which has multichannel ADCs built in which should allow me to calculate the turbocharger efficiency and the intercooler efficiency, and then turf the results down a serial line to something useful.

And yes, I'm doing SMT at home, since some of the components have had the normal variety discontinued.

Sorry I couldn't make it the other night, I really wasn't up to going out.

Don't worry about it, should meet up sometime soon, seems odd that we are so near and never see each other.
