That was just a heartbreaking and completely beautiful chapter!! Also, I can't believe I was actually on to something with my 'Uther interfered and drove Gwen away' theory. Alright, so I didn't guess it properly, but i'm pretty shocked I was anywhere close! These things rarely happen to me.

I had to read the scene in the care home twice because there was just so much to take in from it. I loved how there are no easy solutions in this story. Merlin and Arthur can hopefully be happy now, but it's come at a price. The whole part with Gwen and Arthur and how she would never be the same person again was so sad and yet realistic, and Alex's reaction to his mother actually brought a lump to my throat. And the moment with Arthur and Merlin out on the road was gorgeous as well. Sorry, i'll stop rambling on now!

This was great. I loved the reason why Arthur was so guilty and why he couldn't let her go. She's really a saint! Plus I thought you did a great job with the emotions of the chapter. Very touching.
