I know I'm so late to the game and practically the entire TV watching world has already seen all there is to see where Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel series are concerned..but at the urging of my dear friend leviathan101 I am about to indulge myself greatly and post a picspam from Beneath You. Here via Lev's comment about the picspam :-) Welcome to the slayerverse. Life will never be the same again.

Also that final scene James just knocks it out of the park. Intense and an awful sense of foreboding for the final season.

Hey there, and thank you so much for the welcome to slayerverse! Indeed, my life definitely is not the same! I've been following your replies over on Lev's journal and it is so nice to meet you! Thank you so much for commenting here and ..yes...James so 'knocks it out of the park' in this magnificent scene. I'm so eager for the rest of S7, but so sad knowing Buffy will then be over.

That's the only problem with watching a show where it's all done and dusted. You don't have to wait each week or (god forbid) in between seasons for the fix. But it's better than not seeing it at all. I'm glad you're enjoying it though.

Anyhow when you get to the end you can start all over again ;)

Alas, the end is near as I just finished 'Empty Places' tonight and looking forward to 'Touched' tomorrow. I've loved watching Spike and Buffy as they move towards a higher emotional connection and am sad there isn't much time left to enjoy them, so I can't wait to see what Touched brings in the aftermath of the events ending Empty Places.

Anyhow when you get to the end you can start all over again ;)

I'm really looking forward to that. I'm already reminiscing in my mind about favorite moments and episodes and I can't wait to revisit them.

btw, I hope it's ok if I friend you. :)

Mmmm I love tortured Spike! And actually I love cocky Spike, arrogant Spike and damaged Spike too. All around, he's a fantastic character. I am SO glad that you picspammed this scene. It is indeed gorgeous and the writing and characterizations were so right on. I think I was just very tired the first time that I watched it, and it didn't hit me as hard as it should have. Rewatching it and talking to you about it really made it hit home. It's a FANTASTIC scene. And I gotta agree with thedothatgirl that JM knocked it out of the park. Oh Spike!

How did I escape Buffyverse all these years? I just don't know, but I'm glad I finally got here. Better late than never. :)I don't know why I didn't give it a try earlier either. I'm totally in love with it now, though. As you say, better late than never ( ... )

I second all that..a thousand times. Guess you know who I've been falling in love with ever since 'Fool for Love' and by the end of Beneath You, I guess I fell in...pretty deep.

I'm so glad we had a chance to talk about this scene as you were re-watching it, it was wonderful to 'experience' it with you. (How I wish we could really watch BtVS and Angel together). I loved it when you said it was giving you 'chills.' To me it was completely beautiful on every level, emotionally, visually..storywise...the superb writing...and James' acting was indescribable. The scene wrings every drop of emotion from Spike, fear, anger, love, confusion, heartbreaking sorrow, and finally there is his weary acceptance of his new soul. I love the way the scene was drenched in 'moonlight' too..just breathtaking ( ... )
