Aah! Is it weird to thank you for crying? kdsjf I've always loved the way TYL!Yamamoto was done; his character definitely gets fleshed out, and it's kind of like he gets grounded in reality a bit more. O - or something.

This is so cute, and so real I just don't know what to say. Loss of words ;A;
I can never write Yamamoto, but I think you've got him spot on! My favourates are pobably Squalo and Tsuna, because yes, Squalo would fling a sward in the middle of the night to try and murder his student, and Tsuna, he is great like that :3

i seriously don't know what to say. it's so rare to see serious Yamamoto in a fic, but to see him so spot on about his life and the 5 that help make it... wow.

i love the single lines before and after. Squalo's made me laugh, but the others are so deep. but my fav line was the 'short, good-for-nothing weakling'.

I admit that I'm kind of a sucker for serious Yamamoto; of all of the KHR characters, it's sort of like he has the thickest mask, which makes him really interesting to me. :P

I wasn't sure if I should keep Squalo's in there, since it doesn't completely fit with the mood. I'm glad it made you laugh, though! Thanks for your comment. :)

Squalo's works because of 'the thickest mask'; it makes you realize Yamamoto's loosing it because of the mafia lifestyle.

Very deep and heart wrenching introspective fic, I must say. As much as I like the "ahahaha" sort of Yamamoto, I like it when fics explore the more earnest of him, and you've done this beautifully.

The last line is incredibly sad, aww.

I really do think TYL!Yamamoto is made for introspective fic. The contrast between "before" and "after" always makes me wonder what the years between were like.

The bit with Tsuyoshi made me tear up. This was a great Yamamoto piece; I really loved it! He's my favorite character, but I find him incredibly difficult to write. You wrote him beautifully. <3
