i went crazy on dafont.com, because i'd never had success with installing fonts and i decided, "why not? let's get them all at once!"  i installed over 100 new ones, and then when i came back to my computer this evening i noticed firefox using balloon animal lettering instead of the regular stuff.  i got confused and looked at my preferences--it

I love Dafont. :) I have quite a few fonts up there.

I'm surprised it did that - they usually have very strict screening processes.

Jared was saying, "There could be a virus in these things!" but I've heard from a variety of sources that they're a good resource for fonts. I wasn't too concerned, but it was really peculiar to have it happen all of a sudden. O well. What other font sites do you like?

Actually I don't visit other font sites - I have no need outside of Dafont! I read http://ilovetypography.com/ but they cover a lot more than just fonts to download.

It's really easy to make a font override another one - I've accidentally overridden the System font more than a few times. (While making my own fonts)

i've downloaded so many it's fairly disgusting but i'm most pleased at how many options they have. i should definitely take graphic design classes after i'm done nursing school because it'll be something i'm passionate about rather than a career... i've seen some of your fonts but previously had issues installing them because of my own ditziness. do you store them anywhere, so i could potentially try again?

p.s. i loved your entry on your job, i've seen another entry or two but not so many photos. it looks like an awesome place!

It's such a pain in the ass to read tiny balloon animal font! Argh. And yes, it squeaks too.
