it's a crappy day but i can [at the very least] happily say that i am voting tomorrow. that's the only constant in the plans, but i know damned well i will be at the polls.
People always talk about how their vote *doesn't matter* in a state that's "already decided" for them... That is why the polls are not full of voters and Americans are more interested in voting for reality TV people than actual political figures. Apathy is what is bringing people into office, when they should have been gone a long time ago... You are also voting for funding for counties (as I did today) and for public works projects, not JUST a president. People are killed because they vote the wrong way in other countries, and people died in America to secure your right to vote. Feeling like it doesn't matter is what helps the guy you would have voted against win. Don't feel like you're helpless about it....
