I was the recipient of some hardcore road rage today. Turning onto Glenway, some motherfucker going 90 mph runs up behind me, goes around me, cuts me off and stops the car to get out. One time in high school sara and i were on our way to west 8th to buy cigs and this lady got out of her car banged on my window (i was driving) and told me that she hopes i never have children. i had cut her off but, still totally inexcusable behavior

Someone I know told me a story about someone doing that to him... getting out of his car to yell at him through the window for some imagined slight. Now, he's a very small guy, not too much bigger than me. He said that he just started yelling back at the guy, saying how he was going to push him against the side of his car and ass-rape him. It seriously wigged the asshole out enough so that he stopped yelling and got back in his car.

From then on, if I'm ever in that situation, I swore that I'd say the same exact thing, and to see how they'd react.

Anyone who does that shit should die of a heart attack.

Agressive outbursts are the window to people's soul...

Usually at those times I am the most serene bitch one could be, because honestly someone who is so emotionly wound up with road rage would be expecting the same degree of emotional response (be it anger or humiliation).

The most unemotional response, as it is the aggressor's decision to explode like a volcano of asshat-ery, can either annoy the shit out of someone or help them realize that they're the dick in that situation. Because to reply to a fight/flight emotional response with the same is only an escalation and drags you into their circle of aggressor vs aggressor.
