Another excellent chapter. In these types of fics it is always interesting to see how whatever incarnation of The Doctor the fic is being written about interacts with Giles. Thinking about it, I'm glad you decided to use Seven, one of the older, seemingly wiser incarnations. Playing things out in my mind, simply based on looks and presentation I think it would be a lot harder to pass Five, Eight, Nine, or Ten off as an elderly scholar. Seven also comes with Ace, which is an excellent part of the package deal if you are going to be playing in the post Sunnydale Buffy'verse.

Try to reread the bit on the Watcher's old "Chairman of Chronology," to figure out which Doctor it is, or if it is supposed to be The Doctor at all.

Nice to see Giles' thoughts on the Angel crew deciding to sign on at Wolfram and Hart. I also like the way Giles seems to be paranoid about exactly Who The Doctor really is.

Like the characterization you have going with Ace, and the way that the Faith/Giles relationship parallels the Ace/Seven relationship. ( ... )

Oooh long review! How nice :) I think Seven fits into the morally ambiguous Buffy'verse. Also his is the only Doctor who can take a back seat without loosing presence. There's a lot of Buffy characters running around, all ready and willing to do the actions, with Ace right there with them. But in the shadows flitting in and out of the scene is the Seventh Doctor. The other Doctors need to be the center of attention and would try to take over the fic. My philosophy of crossovers (shit I have a philosophy of crossovers!) is that all the fandoms need to be represented faithfully. No curbstomps, no wanking one side over the other. Also Seven is my Doctor, the Doctor.

"Although Watcherwise, Faith was always closer to Wesley."

Very true. They made the most dangerous Watcher/Slayer team in my opinion. Far scarier than Giles & Buffy. Hello Wes has got a fricking shotgun!

Interesting crossover philosophy, I've always been in it to see how characters from two different shows will interact. .

Will we be seeing any Wes in this story?

The interaction of characters makes and breaks a crossover. But there is a tendancy for a lot of writer for their favorite show or character to steal the limelight. To be better then the characters from the other show. I try to avoid that as much as possible.

And there's no Wes, he's too busy shooting his robot father, and watching the love of his life die. This story is concurrent with Angel S5.

Very Nice. I was very happy to see your second chapter up.

The old chairman wouldn't be Professor Chronotis (retired Timelord, whose name I won't spoil for others) from Shada would he?

He would indeed.
