Today I received a ridiculously awesome history lesson from my great uncle. This lesson was about the origin of the Rundell family as far back as currently traced. Hmmm, sounds like your uncle started backwards and moved forward, rather than the other way around like most people.

The good news is that any relation going back that far is going to be so distant as to practically be non-existent. And, considering that "Rundell" is only about a fourth of your background (you've got your mom as 50% of something else, and your grandmother on your dad's side as another 25%), I think it's safe to say that you're not an animal :P

Wow! That's really, really neat! Maybe the name is mentioned on the Bayeux Tapestry...somewhere. Or perhaps it is only held now in obscure history books. Either way, it's still really cool.

I wonder if carrying viking blood makes me an animal or not.
Doubtful. No more than someone carrying...oh, say German blood, or Goth/Visigoth blood (that'd be Spain, then?).
Besides, that statement is superlatively ironic, given the college you attend.
