I think you should start making some moves to check out other things you might be interested in.

Maybe you could attend the start of a first year computing lecture or get someone to start teaching you stuff.

Theres nothing better for helping make decisions than removing unknowns and at the moment you have a lot of unknowns.

I agree, but I don't have much time. For example, there are no lectures happening atm that I can see.

Glenda suggested starting the geek degree next year, and if I don't like it then in 2nd semester I can finish off my other degree and that will be that.

I've been through the UAC guide and there is really nothing else I can do (apart from something more with my current degee.)

But I give you full permission to scare me out of doing it :)

oh but if anyone thinks of any other career i'm still open to other options. as long as its not:

beautician, join the army, doctor, dietician, lawyer, teacher, social worker, journalist, pilot, astronaut ... or ESPECIALLY not a career advisor.

Ok, so you might not want to BE a careers advisor, but that doesn't mean you can't go to one.

I don't actually know any careers advisors... but it wouldn't hurt to look would it? What about one of those career survey what-type-of-peron-are-you? thingys? I know you think they suck but in high school mine kept coming back with Teacher on them... and they weren't wrong... although the more cynical among us (you know who you are) may consider that a self-fulfilling prophecy.
