Wonderful. Of course Dean and Kaylee would be instant best friends, and I really like the underlying concept of Sam as a Companion, too. :)

See, Sam went off for Companion training against his father's wishes, and so John disowned him--but Dean is so damned proud of his baby brother, because is the best gorram Companion there is, and everybody knows it.

So now that they're back together he's determined to keep Sam safe, the way he always has, and if that means white-knuckling his way through life and taking lots of cold showers and wishing that Sam's Companion training didn't work quite so well on him too, well, so be it.

I may have thought about this a lot. /o\
