Ok I have a question for everyone.
I just want ya'll to give me your opinions about a few things.

What are ya'lls definition of these:
-scene
-punk
-emo

a) Kids who are too good for each other and even for themselves.
b) Kinds who think punk started with NOFX and who've never head of CBGB.
c) Kids who like to pretend they are very sensible and "cute."

CBGB & OMFUG, hmmm, there's a lot about it to tell. It's a club in Lower Manhattan that gave birth to punk. Bands such as the Ramones, Blondie, AC/DC, The Clash, The Police, Dead Boys, Sham 69, etc..all played there making the place famous and involving more "punk" bands tot eh scene. Heh, it's known for that, for being a trashy place and for the dirty bathrooms they used to have but now they are just covered in stickers. CBGB is the house for this music and an awsome place to go to :)

punk- being true to yourself and not caring about what anyone else thinks; saying what you want to say, wearing what you want to wear, etc.

scene: misconstrued by the majority of people that live in lakeland. a "scene" is a group of people who have similar ideas, taste in fasion, or taste in music. not kids in tight black pants and fashion mullets.

punk: misconstrued in lakeland as kids with plaid pants and mohawks. punk is one of three things, usually all hand in hand but sometimes seperate. including music that is fast paced, rebelious, and VERY strait to the point. a fashion sense that is usually grungy and rough, including plaid and leather, and patches of their favorite band. the mind set is very rebelious, and normally very liberal. (basically the same as what "blondstranger" described it as.)

emo: misconstrued by everyone as kids in tight pants and black rimmed "weezer" glasses. see http://www.fourfa.com for a very detailed description of emo.

Okay because I hear so many different answers by so many different people. i just want to know what the real definition of everything is. I have been called a poser by some of these kids that call themselves "scene, punk, and emo etc.." and it just bugs me because in my eyes they arent truly that. They are misleaded by basically dumbfucks. In my opinion.
