I actually think there's plenty of us. Of course, we cluster to some extent. I work in a high-tech IT environment.

Actually, NT is the rarest of the 4 temperaments. And that makes me feel unique and special.

From my POV, there are no 4 temperaments, there are 16, and NT is a debatable umbrella category of those. However that may be viewed, fractions like 1/4 or 1/8 or something like that do not constitute "rare" to me. But if you feel special, that's good. :)

I find that rather odd. I think that would be like feeling unique/special because you are left handed... It's not like it's a choice, or something you've had work for...

What was the full type you were given by the different sorters? (I'm an INTJ on everything, including the official test) Internet quizes are notoriously bad at sorting but they do provide a useful starting place for determining your type. If you are still not sure about your type I'd suggest reading some of the type descriptions ( here might be a good starting point). Given that you have listed XNXP as your type you might want to look at INTP, ENTP, INFP, and ENFP and see if any of those seem to fit you.

Thanks,

yeah, ive read the descriptions of the types. I know that im not extroverted..Lets see, the first time i took it it was XNXP, that was probably the most reliable since i took it in a college corse. The online tests were INTP and INTJ..

I wonder if, since we all have each of the qualities, just in different levels if, maybe being put in a situation-like say a relationship where the other person is more feeling if that would make a person use the thinking characteristic more,--as a way of balancing things out-- even though the natural tendency of that person would lean toward feeling?? i dunno, i think thats probably a vague question..i guess what im saying is

do you think that your personality changes to adapt to other people, or relationships to make them work?? not just anyone, i mean a close relationship.

I believe there has been some research that indicates that type may drift as a person ages (ie matures and grows) and/or that a person may test differently between work and home (interestingly enough there are some indications that work type may be the "more true type"). I don't have the reasearch in front of me right now so you will have to look it up for yourself if you want more details ( ... )
