Type profiles

Is there anything in your type profile that might be off or inaccurate for you?  In other words, a stereotype that's not true?

Nope. I'm pretty much a poster child for my type.

In some portraits of ENTJ, it seems more geared towards enneagram type 8 than my enneatype of 3. Basically the fact that I am nice to everyone and care way too much what others think of me- which are 3 traits and not so necessarily NT traits.

Plus I'm very artistic- possibly due to my shadow, possibly due to my 4 wing.

J vs. P is my weakest function, and I'm nearly 100% N.

I've decided for myself which type(s) I am, so the descriptions are pretty much accurate! I know that some people suggest arrogance as a stereotype (which is not true for me), but I've never actually seen this in proper descriptions - only from people who feel aggrieved! The few anomalies I have noticed come from the fact that I seem to be borderline J/P.

Well, really my one big complaint about type profiles is that most of them try to focus on core traits across the lifespan, and, well, each type has a maturation trajectory, so that they can look different at different life stages. The type profiles have to be one-size-fits-all-stages, and they lose quite a bit that way. For instance, rationals in their teens tend to resonate more strongly with descriptions which emphasize their logicalness and rationality especially in contrast with weak or soft seeming traits, while mid-life rationals often have evolved rather sensitive and wholistic value systems which prize more interpersonal and humane traits (often from the experience of being parents or mentors of proteges), and do not identify with the implacable brainiac profiles. But it's not that the implacable brainiac profiles are wrong, not for the younger rationals.

I agree with you. The T function really stood out when I was a teenager. But now I am better balanced.

I'm a big soft-hearted softie. Which doesn't correlate terribly well with the INTJ image, but I wouldn't want it otherwise. Besides, image =/= truth.
