here I am in the Comfort Inn, Metro.  in Romulus.
Tomorrow morning at eight-something I leave for New Mexico for a week, and then it's on to Kerala.  I won't have computer access until I arrive in Ayroor, probably, so don't expect any updates until probably the 15th or 16th.  maybe later.  So wish me luck everyone.
