You pull your pants down and put a foot on either side of the toilet and, well, squat. At least, that's how the squat toilets in Japan worked. Just make sure all articles of clothing are very much out of the way. It sounds like you're having a pretty okay time otherwise, though? Good luck with stuff there and have lots of fun!
