Every once in a great while a complete dog shit movie is released, this is one of those films.
The basic story deals with Logan/Wolverine before he joined the X-Men. Due to his healing ability, he is actually nearly 150 years old and fought in every major American war despite being Canadian, along with his brother who becomes Sabertooth. Sabertooth is sort of a dick and the two are starting to part ways as the opening credits end. The two join the mutant version of the A-Team and after killing a bunch of people Wolverine quits and becomes a lumberjack and he's okay. He falls in love with a schoolteacher and lives in a nice cabin.
Eventually Sabertooth kills his girlfriend, Wolvie's boss returns and offers to make his invincible. He accepts and escapes after he learns that they want to erase his memory. They try to hunt him down in a few action scenes. He meets with several members of his old team in an attempt to kill Sabertooth. He learns that his boss and Sabertooth were working together the whole time. Dum dum dummmmmmmm.
He meets up with Gambit, who takes him to the secret base where mutants are being experimented on in an attempt to make a super mutant. He gets there, learns the girlfriend is alive, was really part of the scheme, but did love him. He fights Sabertooth a little before fighting Deadpool, who is the super mutant. He and Sabertooth work together to kill him and destroy a nuclear reactor. Sabertooth leaves and Wolvie gets shot by a bullet made of the same metal as his bones and loses his memories. The girlfriend dies and Wolvie has no clue of who she is. Then it turns out that Deadpool lives.
First of all, let me discuss Deadpool. It was perfect casting with Ryan Reynolds. But when he becomes Deadpool, they take away his mouth and basically turn him into a game character. He is literally controlled by a computer. They take all that is great about the character and shit all over it.
The whole thing sucks, avoid at all costs. Unless you want to shit on it.
