I was about to wag a finger toward you (not THAT one!) and then I realized that I wish destruction upon Second Life soley because it's become the target of piles of pseudo techno-intellectuals. On Saturday I'm going to be a a conference where Exploratorium is going to tout their Second Life museum.

Let's do some math. 500,000 players playing at least once a month. 30% in the USA = 150,000. So out of that 150,000 the vast majority of them are most likely busy either doing crazy shit like in the video you posted, or they're making their own models/structures/whatever.

My point: this is not a population worth spending money to market to! There's 20 million WoW subscribers. 600 million in subscriptions a month! I'm not even talking about numbers I can actually picture anymore!

My second point: There at 200,000 KoL players. K fecking oL. Even they outnumber Second-Lifers.
