Jan 23, 2009 17:35

I live in Nashville, TN & I am looking to get a new rat. Mine died about a year ago.. & I'm ready to have a new one, I miss having them around.

I'm really looking for someone in the area who has a new litter & I reallllllyyyy want a rex/dumbo but just please let me know if you're in the area & have a litter.

Thank you!
Kaitlin

A new one? Don't you mean a new 2+?

Adding to the above...have you got a cage ready? Proper bedding? Food? Freerange area? Vet fund?

Once you've got that all ready...you could also consider getting your rats at a local rescue or shelter :) Rescues and sheltes also have baby rats come in every now and then, if you're really set on getting a pair of rittens.

yes. this is not my first time. i've been a part of this community for 5+ years. i know the rats should be in pairs.

You know they should be in pairs.. so why are you asking about getting a single rat and why did you only have one before?

i had 2 before... gus gus and dublin. but gus died of diabetes.
i don't have to prove myself to you. i know what i'm talking about & i have never had a problem caring for a rat before. mind your own. i was just asking simply if anyone in the community had a litter for sale because thats how i got dublin and gus... from a nice lady who bred them in the ratties community.

Responsible breeders will not adopt out a single rat unless there are already others at home. I'm sure you do a fine job of taking care of them, but they really thrive on same-species companionship.
