I have an interview scheduled for job #2!!!11

Next Thursday.

I am afeared.

Should I wear a tie? I would look like an ape man with a tie!

Edit I said job #1 originally but duh.

I'm not sure what the job's like but everywhere I've interviewed lately hasn't required a tie...some even specifically telling me to come in just plain business casual...no tie. Good luck either way!

it depends on where you are interviewing of course, and the atmosphere there.

you might consider a shirt/tie with a sweater over it? or something that's not so "OMG A TIE". and some nice pants, of course. and polish your shoes.

only wear a tie if you _normally_ wear a tie - there's no point in seeming uncomfortable/awkward for a silly reason such as a tie.

myself, i like dressing nicely, and i like wearing ties when i have an excuse, but i'm usually more comfortable in the slacks/turtleneck/jacket thing.

It's always better to be overdressed hence I recommend always wearing a tie. Even if the office attire is casual, you don't want to be the one that blended in but the one that stood out!!
