Now. That is a lot of animals to have in a three bedroom house. Not to mention only two Ferret Nations. That hold what, 8/less rats? (not sure how big it is compared to a FK). Feeding them Parrot, Cat and Dog food??? :sob: :sob: The poor poor babies. Must be all squished in there. I bet she also has pregnant females :sob: And not handling the little ones? If i was a rat i wouldn't want her to handle me!

THEN she also has snakes. How is she feeding them??

Are you able to report her to any animal welfare groups or anything?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may be getting into more than you would like to. I would not take a single rat from her unless she surrenders all of them and cages. Why take four? So you can give her a bit more room to bring some more home? How many times will you take in rats from her before you wash your hands of the situation? I have been in the same spot you are in, more than once sadly. The lady who I did meet in a public place to turn over what was supposed to be all her rats but two females than told me about a male that had escaped...yep months down the road I got involved again, through other rescues who were looking for a transport up to their place in another state. Do not do it! If you are not equiped to take them all in than do not take in a few now and then. What about the rest of the rats left behind? How do you decide which are more deserving of a chance at a happy ratty life ( ... )
