Pottermore announces their "Last House Cup"

What is going on with Pottermore? On Twitter, they announced that potioneers and duelists in the four houses are now working towards the "Last House Cup."

On September 9, we’ll be awarding the last House Cup, so keep duelling and brewing and help lead your house to glory.

Pottermore looks to be something that came with a bang and went with a whimper.
over the years the illustrations on the chapters because less and less interesting and less ineractive. the whole Deadly Hallows looked rushed and uninspired.

what closed the book for me was the last info predating Hogwarts before Merlin; it was certainly a canonclash with book two and a rdiculous statement too.
more over rather repectless to one of the most important parts of British folklore and literature.
when JKR would have stated as a canonfact that William Shakespeare was Sorted into Ravenclaw , she would become the laughingstock of the UK, why not with Merlin Sorted into Slytherin?

It irritated me much.
