(HI SIP, this is David from the forum, in case I never told you that before. I'm still having no luck access the site from either my iPad or my laptop. There's still that login page with the invisible cache code :( )

A Manx Cat does seem a bit out of left field, but according to a Dorling Kindersley book on Cats that I own, a legend of that species' origin is that a Spanish galleon sank near the Isle of Mann some 600 years ago, "and tailless cats were seen to have swam ashore from the wreckage." So if that is to be believed, Manx Cats started off as wild, feral survivors who adapt to rough environments, which is not *that* bad of a spirit animal. Sure beats poor Evannah's salmon though. :P
