Funny thing about the dinosaur fossils...AFAIK most museum displays are cast from a real one anyway.

Yeah, unless otherwise told so, this is usually the truth, true high-value fossils are typically under glass. Most of the 'don't touch' stuff is due to risk of hurting yourself.
