I took the more rural way to get to my mom's tonight. It goes past a bus stop, a refinery, and a town smaller than either. One of the intersections has a bit where, apart from the road bisecting doing a bit of a "^" pattern, you could in theory see for a mile in either direction to check for traffic. I sure hope that wasn't the case. I've stopped for roadkill before, but for taxidermy purposes (I have a skunk tail, coon tail and almost mounted a groundhog). Well, that is until my dad threatened to put me out of the house for it. Feh. =/

You're talking to a guy who has a deer skull macerating as we speak... However, one typically does not stop with their family waiting nervous-looking in the car to do this.

I would stop and have in much worse circumstances, poring down rain to help some one change a tire on the side of the road.
