This wasn't the class for me. I learn language through auditory means, and in smaller chunks, dammit! lol... That horrid "pree-nown-see-a-shun" guide just doesn't work for people like me. Her actually saying the word as a normal Spanish-speaking person would was so much better. For instance, I didn't need to know that "d" was "th" and all that ... just tell me the friggin' word, heh... And you have to admit that six hours of straight Spanish is no way to encourage people, lol...

*sigh*...I know I'll get it one of these days if I really want to... but not in this manner.

Yeah that "d" pronounced as "thee" is a new concept to me, but the more I think about it the more I realize that she was right about it. Oh and I also didn't know that the "V" can be pronounced as a "B". I actually learned alot today at the staff meeting, most of which are basic spanish phrases that is really all you need to know when dealing with hispanic people.
