The lack of response has been absolutely heartbreaking - I mean, 72 hours BEFORE the storm, when Ray Nagin was grimly exhorting people to get out now, why, WHY weren't they airlifting (especially) the poor, the elderly, the sick OUT of there, round the clock? Hey look, I'm Nathan because he forgot to sign out. Holden started to live with us today, but he doesn't like me very much. I think he might want to use me for a snack.

I'm sorry the government lets everyone poor from your state just drown in their houses or starve in a shelter they set up. Shouldn't we have, like, an army that could help with stuff like this? Where are they anyway? They must be doing something really important that makes sense and is necessary, something more important than saving people in our own country from natural disasters we can see coming.
