So - Ravanna’s hand stopped acting like a bitch, which is good for the hand, seeing that it had to work hard today. “Randtanzen” was great today - I love these shiny days when everything’s just fitting together so well, when the pictures are so clear sitting inside one’s head.
Nothing interesting happened, though. 24 days to go, I read a bit,

I've only read part of your answers so far because I'm in a bit of a hurry but the weekend will most likely be all calm and relaxing so I'll have time to give your answers the attention they deserve and maybe even answer the meme myself. There's so muchI'd like to say! I agree with much you've said and wholeheartedly disagree with other things, it's fascinating. ♥
(M-Misery? *hides beneath the table* I've only seen the movie version but I had nightmares for almost a week afterwards. Never ever touching that story again, thank you very much.>.< (Probably says something about how good it is, even as a movie, huh?))

I haven't seen the movie yet, I do not dare to. The book means so MUCH to me, you know, I'm so afraid the movie could destroy everything, my whole goddamn imagination...but I know it's in many ways not as violent as the book is, so if you already got nightmares from the BOOK...O-o

It wasn't so much the violence in Misery that got me, the movie's relatively tame in what it actually shows, but the whole situation that just made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. >.< I'm a wuss when it comes to horror stories of any kind... unless I don't realise that it's a horror story.
(That actually happened: I was reading this story about individual fates, about people dealing with stuff, about people living and dying and laughing and crying and I was a very happy little Sternchen. I also spontaneously burst into laughter when I read an interview with the author: The man is apparently under the impression that he's writing a horror story. XD Now that he's said it, I see the elements and wonder how I missed them, butit still doesn't read as "horror" to me.)

Well, I think it was that sort of horror that I appreciate and want to write, too, the one not coming from monsters, but more from a situation where PEOPLE become some sick kinds of monsters.
I think putting stuff into genres is usually very, very hard. I often have problems realising what kind of genre I'm writing, and I also have problems with always knowing what kind of genre some authors write in. Meh.
